Leaking Toilets and Faucets

Leaky faucet signs:

Faucet drips: If you can hear a faucet drip it’s certainly already become a problem. While you would expect to notice a constant drip there may be rooms you travel to less frequently. Pay closer attention in rooms you may be in more often and be sure not to forget about rooms you may visit less to keep leaks under control.

Rust or Puddles of Water: These two problems are likely to be seen at the bottom or under a faucet, sink, tub, shower, or floor. Act quickly and give us a ring if you see red rust color or a puddle.

Squeaky Faucets: Are your faucets making a squeaking sound when you adjust the taps on or off? Maybe turning the faucet on or off is getting more difficult this may be a high tale sign of a larger issue.

Mold or Rotten Food Smell: You may smell the effects of a leak due to the extra moisture before you see or hear anything. That rotten smell may be certainly a result of a leaky pipe. Get that addressed immediately!

Higher Water Bill: If your water bill has gone higher than usual and you don’t know why, then it might just be a leak. Check for a leak or call us and we’ll fix it ASAP!

Signs of a Leaky Toilet:

Faucet Noises: If you hear groaning sounds or bubbling noises coming behind or beneath your faucet, it likely isn’t a monster hiding in your faucet. You likely have a plumbing leak.

Uneven Floor or Tile: A bump of the floor or things that seem to not be level may actually be a plumbing leak. A slow leak may have been going on for a long time.

Mysterious Water on the Bathroom Floor: The small amount of water may be near the toilet or appear further away than one would expect. Sometimes the grooves of tile may serve as runways to the rug that will soak up the water and make the leak much less conspicuous. Check rugs for water that you wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.
